SF100 Summer Camp
The international SF100 Summer Camp will take place in Finland at Aalto University campus in Espoo, Finland, from July 30th to August 10th, 2019
This is your opportunity for a unique adventure. The SF100 Summer Camp 2019 in Finland is the choice to inspire your imagination and collaborate with the brightest minds from all over the world.
Meet and greet people who are inspired by science, business, art and design. Learn about entrepreneurship and a new ways of doing things; Vision – Passion - Action. Come with open mind and create new ideas together with the change makers.
We will experiment hands-on new ideas, technologies, and new means for inspiring people.
We will use virtual reality, machine learning and other modern technologies in collaboration projects with our partners. We are moving people for health, commuting, learning, innovation and for fun. We will apply the workshop outcomes on Aalto University Campus and other university campuses during the SF100 Challenge Projects.
SF100 Summer Camp is a meeting venue for university students and teachers who are inspired by science, business, art and design. The SF100 Summer Camp provides a unique opportunity to get to know global excellence in these fields. It is a great chance to get together with like-minded brilliant people from all around the world.
The participants of the SF100 Summer Camp have an excellent opportunity to interact with the international top experts who will be visiting the camp.
All participants will be awarded a diploma. The most innovative teams will be awarded special diplomas with opportunities to request special partner meetings. The top participants will get an opportunity to discuss their ideas with the best international experts supporting the Camp.
WHEN AND WHERE?
The international SF100 Summer Camp will take place in Finland (Aalto University campus in Espoo) from July 30th to August 10th, 2019
APPLICATIONS AND ACCEPTANCE
We accept applications from all university students and teachers in China, Korea, USA, and European Union or other countries.
There are three application periods. The earlier you apply the earlier you will get the invitation letter and you will have more time to prepare your travel.
March 25th, 2019 (2019-03-25) is the first application deadline, invitation letters will be available April 1st, 2019 (2019-04-01).
April 15th, 2019 (2019-04-15) is the second application deadline, invitation letters will be available May 1st, 2019.
June 6th, 2019 (2019-06-06) is the third and last application deadline, invitation letters will be available June 13th, 2019 (2019-06-13).
The SF100 Summer Camp starts on July 30th and ends on August 10th, 2019.
This 1st option gives you much time to get a passport and visa, plan your possible extended visit in other European countries, book accommodation and reserve travel tickets etc. The selection of the students and teachers will be based on the application form.
SUMMER CAMP FEE
The camp fee is 800 EUR (incl. VAT). The fee includes the program for the camp. The camp participants are invited to several free social programs during the camp weeks.
The fee does not include international travelling to and from Finland nor the accommodation, meals, insurance, visa or local transportation in Finland.
We require cancellation notice by June 6th, 2019, otherwise you will be charged 50% of the fee.
The organizers cannot provide participants with scholarships to cover the fees.
SF100 Summer camp is organized by the Radical Design Week Association in collaboration with Aalto University, Helsinki University and other Partners.
